كانت مكتبة الشروق الثقافية أكبر مكتبة في غزة. فتحت أبوابها عام 2000 وكان استقبال الزوار يتم يومياً من الساعة 9 صباحاً حتى 8 مساءً. تضم المكتبة رصيداً ضخماً من الكتب في مجالات الأدب والسياسة والدين، بالإضافة إلى قسم مخصص لأدب الأطفال. كما كانت تحتوي أيضاً على دار نشر ومطبعة.
